Sports Society

The Undergraduate Sports society takes due care of the recreational needs of the students and as sports brings people together to accomplish a common goal it leads to holistic development of personality which involves not only mental aptitude but also physical endurance. The facilities that are provided on campus are: basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess and carom.

The UG sports society organized a cricket match in September, ‘07 and a basketball tournament in October, ’07, which saw participation from seniors and juniors alike. These events were very successful due to the enthusiasm of the students. The team spirit and leadership qualities of our students were visible on the field. Pumping action was witnessed as the competitive skills were displayed with rigor and passion.

Cultural Society

The first in-house show ‘Jazz Fusion’ by IILM College cultural society began with Saraswati Vandana and dance performances on 19th September 2007. The students used some props and costumes to give it a formal look. The show was a blend of some Indian and Western dance. The students concluded with expressing their aspirations for this society. It was great to see the vision, creativity and efforts put in by the students.

The Music society of IILM Gurgaon and Lodhi Road campuses participated in the cultural festival "Mitti" of Sushant School of Architecture (AIT), Gurgaon on 3rd November, 2007. Their participation in the item "Dance Choreo" won them the first prize. The dance was choreographed entirely by the students of both the campuses.

Our enthusiastic students participated in the IILM Annual Festival, the ifest 2007
held at the two IILM campuses, Gurgaon and Lodi Road. The cultural society added fun and excitement to the fest. The ifest was a platform to exhibit the inherent potential for choreography of our exceptionally talented professional team of dancers, and the students mesmerized the audience with their self choreographed performance . The students also participated in the street play competition where they bagged the second prize inspite of stiff competition from DU and other management institutes. We had role plays which were directed and enacted by our students for which our Team stood second; along with ad mad show for designing advertisements. The overall endeavor has been oriented towards team work, coordination and enhancing creative expression for our students

Debating and Creative Writing Society

The enthusiasm and hard work from the students of the debate society at Gurgaon campus has been commendable. In September the Gurgaon campus sent three teams for the LSR debate competition, followed by an in-house debate competition in our campus. Further they have also participated with Lodi road campus in October for debate and bagged the first prize for best team and best speaker as well. At ifest our budding writers showcased their talent for
creative writing by writing slogans, captions, short stories and poems for the creative writing competition. Every year we have the Vivekananda Memorial Debate competition, this year also the College students participated and made it to the semifinals. The entire focus is to inculcate an atmosphere of intellectual growth and all round development which facilitates out of the box thinking.
