What is Swiss Business School?

The Swiss Business school was established in 1998, is incorporated in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. It is private business school and offers Undergraduate programs, Post Graduate and Doctoral programs in Management. SBS is a pioneering management institution dedicated to preparing students for the careers of the global economy in International Management, Finance, Marketing and other fields. They are a quality-driven niche player. They teach state of the art theory, immerse students in international experiences and connect them to best practice in business.

What is the accreditation of Swiss Business School?

The Swiss Business school established in 1998, is incorporated in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland, the institution is national certified and its programs are international double-accredited by the following professional accreditation bodies the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), both US wide accreditation bodies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). National accreditation is the highest form of accreditation that an institution can receive.

What is the ranking of Swiss Business School in Europe and the World?

International MBA Forum and CEO Magazine (Sept. 2010) classify SBS MBA programs among the Top Tier in Europe. Swiss Business School has been ranked again as a Tier One Business School in the12th edition of the CEO Magazine. Swiss Business School has been declared the winner of 2 award categories by European CEO Global Business Education Awards 2012. The CEO Magazine has ranked the MBA Program at SBS Swiss Business School as the 14th best of its kind in Europe. Is the Degree of SBS recognized nationally and internationally?

The recognition of the degree is subject to two criteria’s- Government and Accreditation bodies. SBS has recognition from the Swiss Government as well as the accreditation bodies like CHEA—council of higher education of accreditation a counterpart of the AICTE, makes the degree easily recognized in the US. Other accreditation from ACBSP, Edu Qua (Swiss quality agencies) add to the recognition. Swiss Business School is not recognized by Delhi University.

Can a student pursure a Masters in India?

Swiss Business School offers a MBA in collaboration with Ramaiya Institute of Management studies Bangalore. Students are eligible to apply in any of the IILM Campuses, the approval of the candidate will also depend upon the eligibility criteria and consolidated score of their XAT/CAT/MAT/GMAT scores, personal interview, work experience etc. IILM has acquired equivalence from Delhi University for the Swiss Business School run at IILM.

Can I pursue an Indian Degree simultaneously?

Yes, you can pursue a correspondence/distance learning degree from Delhi University or IGNOU.

Are there transfer facilities available to SBS?

SBS provides for a two-week summer school, which gives you opportunity to spend two weeks in Zurich (which is paid by the student independently). This gives students an opportunity to interact with the faculty and spend time at SBS campus. Students can seek transfer to Swiss Business School anytime after completion of the first year of the degree program.

Can I go to Swiss Business School for one semester?

Yes, you can go to Swiss Business School for semester.

Can I go for exchange semesters to IILM or SBS partner institutions?

Credits for an exchange semester will not be accommodated in the Swiss Business School program, however you can go for study abroad trips and summer school.

Where is Swiss Business School located and how big is the campus?

Zurich has been consistently ranked as the number one city in the world for the quality of life, making it an ideal place to study. Many multinationals are located in the region due to the central location of Zurich at the heart of Europe. It is a city campus, which is near the international airport of Zurich. (The institute is not too big, but the undergraduate program is not very big. Most business schools don’t have a big campus as they provide specialized education.)

Is there a Swiss Business School scholarship program (like a one month stay in UOB) sponsored by IILM?

No, There is no scholarship program for the Swiss Business school, IILM organizes study abroad trips to provide international exposure to the students. (These trips are paid for by the students.)

What is the Campus life @ Swiss Business School?

• Being at the heart of the city and tourist city, there are a lot of opportunities to do off campus.
• Zurich being a business hub, there are a lot of opportunities to interact with some of the business houses.
• The students will also have an opportunity to go to SBS and attend the convocation ceremony.

Will the course material be provided?

Yes, course material will be provided for each course by IILM and Swiss Business School. Along with this they would be online portal – SBS online portal, which is used for sharing the learning material, which would include Module outlines, lectures, tutorial assignments, past year question papers.

Will the faculty from SBS come and teach courses at IILM?

The faculty of IILM and SBS work in close collaboration to develop course ware and deliver the program. The faculty of IILM is well trained to deliver international programs. There are e-lectures, which would be shared with students. Few faculty from Swiss Business School will also visit IILM during the program.

How reliable is the collaboration between IILM & SBS?

The agreement between IILM and SBS states a clause to protect the existing students against any collapse of the agreement. IILM undergraduate business school was established in 1996 and is one of the best private colleges in Delhi. It has one of the oldest international collaboration. IILM has a long-standing first-rate reputation in the academic arena. On the other hand SBS was established in 1998 and has and positioned itself amongst the top business school of Zurich, Switzerland. The two institutions stand independently with ample name and prestige.
