IILM Design Festival DESIGN CONNECT ’08

The students of IILLM College participated in the first ever design festival on IILM's Gurgaon campus, DESIGN CONNECT ‘08. The students of UG I and UG II participated in a fashion show in the fest organised by School of Design. The theme was Bollywood and the students enacted various celebrities in the industry. They coordinated their clothes according to the celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan etc. The whole show was really appreciated by the crowd.

The students also participated in the dance competition at the design fest .There were three teams in all DPS Gurgaon , Design school & IILM UG .The prize was shared by School of Design and DPS Gurgaon .Our students performed on two songs .The crowd was thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the competition .

The Chief Guest Ms Jaya Jaitley was happy with the students work and felt that private initiatives in design education should be given a boost. She enjoyed the fashion show on Bollywood put together by the students and thought that it was an appropriate way to launch the Textiles & Apparel design discipline.

The University of Bradford awards offered in collaboration with IILM are of an equivalent standard to UK based awards as evidenced by both Internal Quality Assured processes of the University, and externally by the UK Quality Assurance Agency. The awards, therefore, are deemed ‘equivalent'. The University of Bradford 's origins date back to 1860, when it was founded as The Bradford Technical College. The University received its Royal Charter in 1966.

IILM has applied for approval of the collaboration with the University of Bradford, UK to the University Grants Commission vide our application dated November 29, 2005. A copy of the application and the interim response from the University Grants Commission is available on our website, www.ubs.iilm.edu. Similarly, we have also applied to the All India Council for Technical Education on March 7, 2006 for approval. A copy of our application to the AICTE is available on our website.
